A doctor I worked for once told me that the one thing that they considered to be their trade or “art” was the suture. I have explored medical themes in earlier work, and it was a natural decision for me to appropriate this procedure in order to express the relationship between the troubled mind and it’s corresponding aesthetic exterior or facade that we put forward.
